How Does Microneedling Work?
SkinPen microneedling is completed in a private treatment room in about 30 – 60 minutes with local anesthesia or numbing cream if requested. Patients typically report little or no pain and discomfort. The areas of skin being treated will be cleaned before the SkinPen handpiece is evenly passed over. After the microneedling is complete, a topical treatment or a vitamin-infused serum may be applied so the nutrients can penetrate deeper into the skin.
When you opt for PRP microneedling, a member of our medical team will take a sample of your blood for your PRP collection. The drawn blood will then be transferred to our laboratory for the separation process, during which your platelets, growth factors, and stem cells can be turned into PRP. Pristine Med Spa utilizes state-of-the-art technology to make tiny holes in your skin. The little needles used won't damage your skin but instead will help stimulate the production of collagen. When the microneedling is finished, the PRP serum is placed into the skin to sink in. After the PRP is completely absorbed, we'll clear away the serum and cleanse the skin.
